5 out of 5 stars Recommended: my 2 and 4 yr olds love it   September 4, 2009

This is a great toy. Although it seems quite simple, I've been pleasantly surprised at how much my youngest son and daughter enjoy playing with it (doesn't interest my 5 yr old). My kids will quietly pull it out and start exploring it, calling to me to with exclamations of delight as they discover its features ("Oh Mamma, look!"). I've found it's more of an independent play toy, rather than a sharing toy, and keeps their focused attention for quite a while. Good opportunity to learn the concept of sharing and patiently waiting for your turn. Lots of bells and buttons to push and they enjoy seeing the cupcake plump up and the mac'n'cheese flip over. Very cute, lots of laughs. Recommended for the pre-kindergarten kiddos.

5 out of 5 stars Great fun   December 17, 2009

I bought this to have at our house for my 2 year old granddaughter who loves cooking type stuff. It was such a great hit that I've bought another one to give her for Christmas. The sounds are great and the cupcake even pops up when cooked. You have to pull hard to open the door but she could do it. A younger child might have a little trouble with it but it's the kind of toy that a child will play with differently at different ages. As a grandmother, I think it's a great toy, especially if your kids like Elmo and Sesame St. characters.

5 out of 5 stars Big hit   December 26, 2009

My two year old wanted this toy when we were shopping for xmas. I found it on amazon for almost half the price. It got her in 3 days with free shipping. My daughter was so excited that she spent all day playing with it. The food actually "cooks" in the microwave. The mac and cheese pops over. The muffin raises up. Depending on the button it does it faster or slower. My 6 yr old and 4 yr old have joined her in the fun with their other kitchen toys and love having the microwave. Well worth the money. Easy enough to open but doesn't just pop open either. Great toy.

5 out of 5 stars 2 1/2 year old son loves it!   January 7, 2010

Keeps my son busy for a while. The toy will respond differently when you open the door before the food is "done" vs. when the microwave dings. Really fun for my little one.

5 out of 5 stars Mother of boy with autism, who loves microwaves   February 10, 2010

I'm a mother of a ten year old boy with Autism. He loves to cook and bake. He has 10 microwaves(some are toys and others are real). He loves that it talks to him and that it's Sesame Street. His favorite voice is Cookie Monster. Highly recommend this product for any age.
