I ordered this product for an 8 year old boy's christmas present. I was pleased with the price and fast shipping. He was pleased with getting specific type of war figurines and all the neat accessories. Thanks for making our christmas special!!

We used this toy to help with a history project. It ended up looking great and the kids had fun learning about the Civil War.

Scale is important for these kinds of bargains as they pertain not just to kids, but big kids like us that are into war games with miniatures.
This barrel of figures is a great find because these figures are good plastic, reflect the uniforms well and are durable.
If I had not started already with 1/32 scale and found these for my armies, I would probably have gone with 1/35 scale, however, there are far more selections in 1/32 than 1/35.
Overall, the other materials in this barrel are great, and I was really only interested in the wagon wheels for use in my cannons from BMC (the other bag of miniatures guys). Their cannons have wheels that are very sad, so using the wheels from these wagons was excellent. If you are into gaming with miniatures, this barrel can definately help esp. for casualties.
The flashing and seams is practically non-existant and these are clearly from a brand new mold; if they did these in 28mm scale, the world would be a better place.

My son saved his money to purchase this set. He plays with it often. Our only complaint is the wheels of the cannons and wagons break off and can't be fixed. Other than that it's a great set.
I gave it three stars for durability because the other pieces are fine.

Overall this is a ok set of civil war toy soldiers.
The sheer number of men is a major plus - you get a lot for your money.
Two main downsides are that the horseman don't fit on their horses well and these really aren't 1:32 scale. They are more like 1:35 scale so they are all a bit shorter than other sets.
If you are looking for quality verse quantity, then I'd go for the Irish Brigade but I wouldn't turn my nose up at these guys.
